"Moonlight Forager II" by Mark Nadjiwan (11x7)

Moonlight Forager II is a reprise of a similar piece the artist did over 30 years ago.  Now long lost, that early drawing has remained a favorite and one that Mark has always wanted to revisit in his now much more developed style and technique.  Waagosh, as Fox is known to Anishinabek People, continues to have a special significance in Mark's life as he is frequently visited by Waagosh - more than any other forest dweller - during his travels whether he is travelling on foot, by paddel or road.  But there is even more special and sacred presence of this keen, swift and adaptable animal in Mark's life by way of his son whose Aniishinabek name is Waagoshonse, "Little Fox." This piece is dedicated to him.
